People Moving and Handling E-Learning & Workshop

Overview

All staff involved in the moving and handling of people must be suitably trained to reduce the risk of injuries to themselves and the patient.

Employers are required by law to take reasonable steps to safeguard the health and safety of all their employees.

Back injuries within the NHS account for 40% of all sickness absence at an estimated cost of £400 million a year.

Our e-learning & workshop training will ensure that your employees have the required knowledge, skills and confidence in reducing the risk of injuries to themselves and people when moving and handling.

The training course is provided via our web based e-learning portal and does not require additional software or plug-ins. It is accessed via a username and password.

What is on offer?

Access to the people Moving & Handling e-learning modules for 12 months from the date of payment.

  • 2 hour practical assessment of skills competencies delivered at your premises at a time and date suitable to you.
    • Up to 5 students 1 assessment session a year
    • Up to 10 students 1 assessment session a year
    • Up to 20 students 2 assessment sessions a year
    • Up to 30 students 3 assessment sessions a year
  • Free updates to changes in legislation and industry good practices.
  • A certificate of competence will be awarded to all students who successfully complete the e-learning modules and practical skills assessment.

What will it cost?

  • 1 to 5 students’ £35.00 per person + VAT
  • 6 to 10 students’ £32.00 per person + VAT
  • 11 or more students’ £30.00 per person + VAT

Entry Requirements

No specific entry requirements are need for this course.

Target Audience

The e-learning course is designed for Health Care and Social Care professionals who are involved in Moving and Handling of People in community environments.

Duration

The time taken to complete the e-learning modules depends on how quickly you study and absorb the training material. You can study as slowly or as fast as you like. However you must complete the modules and practical assessment within 12 months of starting the course.

Certificate

On successful completion of the e-learning modules and practical assessment a certificate of competence will be awarded valid for 1 year. The practical assessment must be completed within 12 months of starting the course.
