Cleveland Police Cadets kick off 2015 developing their leadership and creative media skills through the Action Up programme. Action Up is a national Ambition programme to increase the number of young people engaged in high quality social action.

16 and 17 year old cadets will participate in Ambition’s Level 1 Leadership programme to develop their skills and achieve qualifications. Equipped with Safe in Tees Valley's new Youth Social Action App - giving them the tips, techniques and tools they need to lead high quality social action; they will then return to their local communities to lead younger cadets from Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Redcar & Cleveland and Stockton-on-Tees cadet units in taking practical action in the service of others.

Cadets will produce and use creative media to promote their projects, the value of social action, and the work of Cleveland Police Cadets to others. They will also use the promotional media to inspire their peers to participate in the social action journey. Look out for more information on our website.

Action Up is led nationally by Ambition. Safe in Tees Valley is the only provider of Action Up in the North East. It is funded by the Cabinet Office Youth Social Action Journey Fund.
