Microsoft Youth Hub secures £300 for digital literacy events

Posted : 15/07/2015

Safe in Tees Valley's Microsoft Youth Hub aims to empower and train young people to become peer educators in digital literacy, offer opportunities for young people to develop their skills in ICT, inform young people of the continuing changes in technology and inspire young people to seek a career in technology.

In order to engage new members of the community and expand the reach of the Hub’s digital peer education, Safe in Tees Valley have secured an additional £300 from UK Youth to run 2 events which are taking place on 29th and 30th July 2015 at Trinity Catholic College in Middlesbrough. These events will cover internet safety and community reporting. Both events will increase young people’s chances of employment in the future and over 100 young people will be engaged.
