Youth Employment Initiative...

Posted : 04/07/2016

Safe in Tees Valley has signed up to deliver a major new employment initiative to support young people into Personalised Education Employment & Enterprise Pathways (PEEEPs).

The Youth Employment Initiative (YEI) is a package of measures designed to deal with high levels of youth unemployment and is specifically targeted at European Union regions in which the youth unemployment rate exceeds 25%.

YEI is for young people - aged 15-29 years and living in the Tees Valley - who are unemployed or inactive in education, employment or enterprise, and who are unlikely to achieve success using only mainstream services.

YEI is managed locally by Hartlepool Borough Council. As a delivery partner, we lead a Voluntary, Community & Enterprise Sector partnership to provide a range of PEEEPs projects. Funding is available until July 2018. Projects are LIVE!

For further information please contact Lorraine McConnell on 01642 664440

The Youth Employment Initiative is part-funded by the European Social Fund as part of the 2014-2020 European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme in England.
