Behind the Wheel...

Posted : 01/03/2017

Safe in Tees Valley are working with local UPS driver volunteers to empower over 40 young people across Middlesbrough to be safe in and around cars, before they start learning to drive.

UPS Road Code hazard awareness programme is for young people aged 13-19 years. It combines workshops led by UPS driver volunteers and the chance to practice 'behind the wheel' of a driving simulator. Young people gain knowledge to make them better drivers and be more aware of how to keep themselves and others safe in and around cars.

The UPS Foundation’s global road hazard awareness programme has been brought to the UK in partnership with UK Youth. We have worked with UK Youth and UPS to launch the innovative programme locally.
