Beat the Summer Boredom Blues

Safe in Tees Valley still have places available to take part in the National Citizen Service programme this summer

If your 16 or 17 and have no plans for the holiday period, there is still time to join the 1300 young people from the Tees Valley who have signed up to take part – and it won’t cost you a penny!

Spread over a number of weeks you’ll spend the first 2 away from home enjoying a range of outdoor activities. And when you get back you’ll work as a team on a project to improve your community.

National Citizen Service organiser Paula Davidson comments: ‘the programme provides a great opportunity to meet new people from all walks of life and make a real difference to your community. It’s great to put on your CV or college application and you’ll learn new skills that employers and universities will love’

Erin Tyler aged 17 from Stockton on Tees who took part in NCS 2011 said

“I did this last year, I absolutely loved it,  I loved my team leaders Laura and Brennan and my whole team thanks for the experience all my friends are now signed up this year”

Anyone interested in getting involved should contact Paula Davidson on 07736 161011 or at Paula.Davidson@safeinteesvalley.org  for more information
