Free Sports Leaders UK qualifications

Working with Ambition and Mitre Group, Safe in Tees Valley are delivering a range of Sports Leaders UK (SLUK) qualifications in the Tees Valley to young people aged 16-23.
 
Mitre Group will fund learners who are;
 
·         16-18 years of age and in part time education i.e. studying for 2 a-levels or less or another course that is less than 16 hours per week or 500 guided learning hours a year
 
·         19 + year olds who are NEET and able to provide evidence of JSA (they must provide a copy of their JSA letter from the job centre)
 
 
SLUK qualified participants will have the opportunity to progress as Safe in Tees Valley Volunteers to deliver a range of sports and physical activity in local communities using the Organisations OnRoute MUGA, Sports, and Skate mobile facilities.
 
Funded by Safe in Tees Valley, Volunteers can choose to go on to achieve Ambition’s Sports & Activity Pack (SAP) Familiarisaton and Day Certificate in Sports Leadership and will  have use of Ambition’ SAP resource to support them to  deliver basic sports sessions.
