Are you aged 14-19 and passionate about youth clubs and youth projects?

Would you like to work with us to make these even better for young people like you?

Be part of our new UK-wide group making youth clubs the best they can be and letting everyone know about the great work that they do.

About Ambition

Ambition is the UK’s leading youth club charity. We work with more than 3,500 youth clubs and over 350,000 young people every year through our network of member youth organisations. Through training, advice and funding, we help our members to work with more young people and in different ways. Last year over 4,000 young people got involved in our national programmes through sport, healthy living, creative arts and enterprise.

About getting involved

We have some big plans for the future, and we want you to help us make them happen, and bring new ideas too. Working in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, we want to set up a new UK group that helps to shape our future and how we are run. We are looking for four young people aged 14-19 from each of the four countries.

If you’ve had some experience of sharing your ideas and views locally about youth clubs and projects, but would love to take this to a national level, then it would be great to hear from you.

You need to be able to come to a residential weekend on 4-6 October 2013 and then two other get-togethers during the year and perhaps one or two other events where you might represent Ambition. We don’t have too much more planned at this stage, as we want you to decide what happens and when. What we will do is make sure you get the support you need to get involved and pay for your expenses.

What next?

It’s up to you how you tell us about yourself. You can write something about why you would like to get involved or send us a video clip. The clip should be no more than three minutes and for written stuff, no more than 400 words. We want to hear about any experience you have had of giving your views on youth clubs or projects, why you would like to get involved with Ambition and maybe tell us a little bit about you. You have plenty of time to get back to us by Friday 16 August. We will let you know by Friday 23 August if you have been successful and we would like to meet you.

If you have any questions, please get in touch with Chris Marr, Ambition’s Programmes Manager, on chris@ambitionuk.org or 07903 025497.
